There is currently a bug/unwanted feature in ShipStation that causes items that reach 0 units of inventory to loose 2 categories of information: Inventory Warehouse and Warehouse Location. This loss of data makes it so additional inventory units cannot be easily edited for these items in the conventional +/- method:
When an eCommerce item inventory drops to 0 and the time comes to add more inventory:
- Log onto ShipStation.com (see login credentials in Gen Passwords)
- Select Products -> Inventory
- Select the SKU of the item that is currently at 0 units
- Select the Inventory tab
- Select Add to Alternative Location
- Add to the first 3 fields:
- Warehouse: Inventory Warehouse
- Location: Freezer
- Quantity: [New quantity you received from Shipping]
- Add Location
- Select Save Changes
The item in question will now have the stock units requested, but also the +/- Actions, Inventory Warehouse, and Warehouse Location viewable again:
