RedZone has a new method of resetting passwords: first the end user requests a reset, then the Admin user approves the reset.
If you need your Redzone password reset, you can request one right from the login page of the Redzone app. The app will generate a QR code that you can show or send to anyone in IT, and they can remotely approve your reset:
User Request
- Open RedZone iOS app
- Select Forgot password?
- Enter your Redzone username. It is likely [1st name initial][last name]
- Ex. Bob Smith would probably be bsmith
- Continue
- A QR code will be generated. Take or send to an Admin user to complete the process
- Note: QR code is for a 6 digit code. Sending just the code to the Admin user is also acceptable
- Once the password reset request is approved, you will be prompted to create your new password
Admin Approval
- Open RedZone app
- More
- Profile
- Settings
- Authorize Password Reset
- Enter 6 digit code in Enter Code field, or select QR icon to open camera to read QR code
- After Admin enters 6 digit code to approve reset, User screen will automatically refresh and they will be prompted to set a new password
